چکیده

Boundary prediction in images as well as video has been a very active topic of research and organizing visual information into boundaries and segments is believed to be a corner stone of visual perception. While prior work has focused on predicting boundaries for observed frames, our work aims at predicting boundaries of future unobserved frames. This requires our model to learn about the fate of boundaries and extrapolate motion patterns. We experiment on established realworld video segmentation dataset, which provides a testbed for this new task. We show for the first time spatio-temporal boundary extrapolation in this challenging scenario. Furthermore, we show long-term prediction of boundaries in situations where the motion is governed by the laws of physics. We successfully predict boundaries in a billiard scenario without any assumptions of a strong parametric model or any object notion. We argue that our model has with minimalistic model assumptions derived a notion of “intuitive physics” that can be applied to novel scenes.

Revealing the impact of changing land use of the annual spatiotemporal boundary layer height (Kermanshah Case Study)

Introduction Atmospheric boundary layer (ABL), is the lowest part of the atmosphere. Its behavior is directly influenced by its contact with earth surface. On earth it usually responds to changes in surface radiative forcing in an hour or less. In this layer physical quantities such as flow velocity, temperature, moisture, etc., display rapid fluctuations (turbulence) and vertical mixing is st...

Tracking with simultaneous camera motion subtraction by level set spatio-temporal surface evolution

The purpose of this study is to investigate a method of tracking moving objects with a moving camera. This method interprets tracking as detection of the surface generated by motion boundaries in the spatio-temporal domain and estimates simultaneously the motion induced by camera movement. The problem is formulated as a Bayesian motion-based partitioning problem in the spatio-temporal domain of...

Zoning of Bamdej Wetland Water Quality based on the Spatio-temporal Kriging

Inland wetlands are of the most important natural terrestrial types of water resources. Against its importance in protecting and improving biodiversity, air quality and macro-climatic condition of their regions, industrial development, and urbanization treat their natural existence and behavior. Therefore, monitoring and quality evaluation of wetlands are necessary to analyze and infer their na...

Temporal Density Extrapolation

Mining evolving datastreams raises the question how to extrapolate trends in the evolution of densities over time. While approaches for change diagnosis work well for interpolating spatio-temporal densities, they are not designed for extrapolation tasks. This work studies the temporal density extrapolation problem and sketches two approaches that addresses it. Both use a set of pseudo-points in...
